Desalto has always been an integral part of the Brianza area manufacturing tradition, stretching from the 1950s to the present day. Brianza is a special region where the masters of Italian design found a fertile environment and resolute, enthusiastic business people. Desalto founder, the Orsenigo family, are among the entrepreneurs who helped to spread, worldwide, the concept of a product based on a constant technical and technological research, aesthetically sophisticated and designed to be functional.
By granting the excellence of design that has always distinguished every creation of the brand, Desalto plays an important role providing a standard collection of great versatility that surprises for the many possibilities of combinations and finishes.
Piero Lissoni
Piero Lissoni is an architect, designer and Art Director. In 1986, he and Nicoletta Canesi founded the interdisciplinary design and architecture studio Lissoni Associati, in Milan. This was followed in 1996 by the studio for visual communication Graph.x, which specialises in brand development and corporate identity, by the architectural firm Lissoni Architettura in 2013, to take charge of the increasing number of international architectural commissions and, two years later, by Lissoni Inc. in New York, which handles interior design projects in the USA, Canada, Central and South America. Lissoni Inc. works closely with licensed architects of record on all the USA projects.
Lissoni and his multinational team thus comprehensively cover the areas of architecture, interior and product design, graphics, art direction and corporate identity. Projects extend globally to include private villas, residential buildings, offices, factories, theatres, restaurants and hotels, yachts, retail stores, showrooms, exhibitions, furniture and lighting design.
Piero Lissoni is Art Director for major brands and his architecture and design work is recognized worldwide and has earned him a series of international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the Compasso d’Oro ADI. Piero Lissoni is guest lecturer and member of the Advisory Board at the Politecnico di Milano.
