Michael Young
English, born in 1966, Michael Young is an industrial designer who – after graduating in Kingston University in 1922 – started his career working with Tom Dixon in London.
It is in 1994 that he opened his own studio, before moving to Hong Kong in 2006.
Impact on his signature style of modern design is considerable, as to be defined by Sir Terrance Conran “Most Inspirational British Designer“.
Besides Brionvega, during his career Young has collaborated with some of the leading global brands, including Coca Cola, Bacardi and Trussardi.
His work has been shown, among others, at the Pompidou Museum and Louvre Museum in Paris, and at the Design Museum in London.
Among the major awards, the Red Dot Award in 2009, 2010 and 2012, the Tokyo Good Design Award 2011, the Wallpaper Design Award 2009 and the Eurobike Awards 2008.
