Mathilda Lounge Chair
An object of everyday use, a known form acquired by the collective memory, of which it carries the familiar aspect, the trace of a correlation. Mathilda is a modern project in the architectural sense, in the proportional relationship between the whole and the detail. The idea is simple, perfect for the function for which it is reserved: two trestles give solidity and belonging, they support the seat while simultaneously serving as supports for the backrest and as a stackable support. The thoughtful and sober intuition brings the project back into the contemporary, in the possibility of evolving towards a coherent, functional and recognizable seating system.
