POL 74 was born in 1962 as an handicraft workshop but soon became an industrial reality with aesthetic and technological goals. The factory is placed in Brianza (Northern Italy), a very well-known area for the Italian design furniture.

Double opening mechanism for the version with storage: bedspring opening and easy bed movement allowing to lift the bedspring itself at a proper height during housework.
This mechanism can be manual or with motor; besides this double mechanism the electrical version includes two independent relaxing movements for head and feet.
